Sift Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 22, 2026. Sift is made by NTB Labs.
The short version
Sift runs entirely on your device. We have no servers. Nothing you do (your searches, the products you view, your settings) is ever sent to us. The only site Sift talks to is Amazon, and only to load more results for the search you are already viewing. There is no account, no sign-up, no tracking, and no analytics.
What Sift does
Sift reads the Amazon search results page you're already looking at, scores the products on it, and re-orders them on your screen. All of this happens locally, in your browser.
Network requests
Sift contacts exactly one website: Amazon, and only to load additional pages of the search you're already viewing (when you use Deep Scan, Sift fetches page 2, 3, and so on of your current search, the same pages you could click to yourself). These requests are built as relative URLs, which means they are structurally incapable of going anywhere except the Amazon site you're on. Sift never contacts any other server, ours included. We don't have one.
What's stored
Your preferences (filter settings, display options, and any presets you save) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's extension storage. That's all. Sift does not store your browsing history, your searches, or any product data. Nothing stored is ever transmitted.
What's collected about you
Nothing. Sift has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no way to identify you. We cannot see how you use Sift, or that you use it at all.
Third parties
None. No third-party services, SDKs, or trackers are included. Sift's interface is built with standard open-source libraries (React) that make no network calls.
Verify it yourself
Because Sift runs entirely in your browser, its behavior is inspectable. You don't have to take our word for any of this.
Permissions, explained
Sift asks to read and change data on Amazon sites (amazon.com and amazon.co.uk), which is what lets it read the results page and re-order it, and to use extension storage for your preferences. Nothing else.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date. Since Sift collects nothing, there's not much room for it to change.
